SOUL Winter Wonderland

In 2024 the staff at the School of Unlimited Learning (SOUL) reached out and asked if we could help with a new event they wanted to do for students & their families. Their Winter Wonderland was well attended and enjoyed. Families started at SOUL (right behind the alley from FPC). They got photos with Santa, wrapped gifts for siblings, picked out a winter coat (furnished by FPC & SOUL staff) and other fun things. Then they came through the alley into the Hub from the back door. On our campus they could take a food bag, some hygiene kits and dental floss which we provided. Then they enjoyed hot chocolate, cookies & festive music on our heated patio. The food was provided by the school and we provided friendly faces.
Naturally, we're doing it again this year. Here's how you can join in the joy!
- Donate new or very gently used adult sized coats or sweat shirts. We're hoping for 200 total. Look for a donation bin on Sundays or bring them to the church office weekdays. Office hours are Mon–Thurs: 9AM – 4PM (Closed 12–1PM for lunch) & Fri: 9AM – 12PM.
- Donate fresh fruits or vegetables. Instead of food bags, we want to set up a pick your own market for perishables. The delivery window is 9am-noon the Monday of the event due to storage issues.
- Help host the FPC side of the event. Join the set up crew at 9am; clean up crew at 4pm; and/or be a friendly face from 1-4pm. Sign up coming soon!
