Dear First Pres,

For the past two and half weeks our staff has been out of our Admin building. We’ve moved our front office over to the Gallery, and the rest of the staff has been simply spreading out around campus to find a place to work. It’s been quite a disruption, but I’m really proud of the staff for making it work and rallying to keep everything going.

We’ve been out of the Admin building because a brand new HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Condition) system has been going in! This was the most expensive part of our Home Improvement Drive, and it’s almost done. Praise the Lord. With the new system, the temperature throughout our Admin building will be much more consistent from room to room. Plus, the new system will be way more efficient than its predecessor, saving us money along the way. Finally, Torsten and Josh and I stood next to the condensing units (the two big units next to the Patio) while they were running full speed and we were able to have a regular conversation without having to raise our voices. The new units are very quiet compared to the units that used to be there.

All this is good news, and none of it would have been possible without your generous support. Thank you so much for the extra financial pledges you gave to make these Home Improvement Drive projects a possibility.

Praise God for the people who left FPC Fresno as a beneficiary of their estate. Just a few of these saints accounted for nearly 25% of the pledged funds.

Thank you to those of you who are still fulfilling your pledges.

Thank you to those of you who gave sacrificial one-time gifts.

I am so grateful for the Lord’s provision.

With that in mind, now, would you please join me in praying for the Lord’s provision for our church’s general operating budget? We continue to fall about 5 - 10% behind on expected income each month. So, we’re praying that the Lord turns this trend around through His provision for and through His people (that’s you). As more and more of us pray about this, I believe the Lord will lead us forward in His wisdom.

If you’re wondering how to pray, here’s a summary of what I’ve been praying lately: “Our Father in heaven, thank you so much for all that you have given to us who are FPC Fresno. You have given us our daily bread and so much more. Thank you. Now, please help us to be good stewards of what You have given. Please provide the resources to meet the budget that the Session and Staff prayerfully determined for 2023. As you do, be glorified in everything we do so that Your Kingdom will come more and more in Fresno as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”

Blessings,
