Hey Church Family,
Since 1991, young leaders have moved into the pink 4-plex apartment across the street from our church. These leaders have gained insight from local leaders, volunteered with programs in our neighborhood, and figured out how to live in community with peers. InterVarsity, led by Randy White, launched and facilitated this program in its inception. Throughout the years it has had many different leaders from within InterVarsity. It has been our joy and privilege to step into leadership starting in fall of 2020.
With this leadership, it has been the hope that we can continue to live into the history of FPC in nurturing young adults. It is a part of our church’s DNA to train, equip, and invest in the next generation of leaders. So it reflects the heart of our church that the Pink House program is a valued part of our coming ministry season.
For many years, we have been praying for the cohort members and we have waited to see where God is continuing to show up. This year, we found a way to invite you into deeper engagement.
Pink House Foundations: Starting Tuesday, Sept 6, you can dive into the foundational courses alongside our Cohort. This 5-week experience will be taught by local leaders focusing on the Biblical Foundations of the program. We’ll conclude with a Saturday driving tour through Fresno to learn more about how to pray for our city. Find our more and/or register here.
Pink House Open House: Sunday, August 28 following both services, come and see the work of renovation that Steve Jaurena, Helena Phillips, and so many others have done to make the Pink House into a Pink Home. It will also be a great way to meet the cohort members and know how to pray for them.
Pink House Benefit Dinner and Concert: Saturday, September 24, the Pink House cohort will host a Benefit Dinner and Concert to raise money for the two conferences they will participate in this year. Pairs Well, a local band with our own Kaylan Roberts will be performing. Be on the lookout for the registration event and plan to attend.
