Dear First Pres,

This Sunday, at 10:45, we have a congregational meeting.  Congregational meetings are few and far between, but they are super important.  At this Sunday's meeting we have the opportunity to do one of the things that distinguishes us as Presbyterians; we are electing our church officers (elders and deacons). Plus, we're electing those who will carefully nominate next year's class of officers (nominating committee).  If you'd like to know more about the fine folks who were nominated this year, please follow this link to our website.  Then, come to the meeting at 10:45 (in our Sanctuary) to participate in this important church business.

I am so grateful for those who have heeded the call to serve as an elder, deacon, or nominating committee member. Each of these teams is incredibly important to the life and health of FPC Fresno. Elders discern the will of Christ for the church and oversee all our ministries.  Deacons lead us in our ministries of care and compassion. And the Nominating Committee discerns together those the Lord is calling to serve as church officers.  Praise God for willing hearts that say "yes" to His call.

Blessings,

P.S. I can't wait to preach from Joshua 24 on Sunday. It seems like we've been in Joshua 23 forever!
