Dear First Pres,

What a joy it has been this week to have so much action on our campus. Every morning purple shirts (leaders) and orange shirts (kids) have been spilling onto our campus for City Bible Adventure ... and what a wonderful adventure it has been. Bravo to all the folks who made it happen this year! I love seeing the leaders from the different churches and organizations working together to lead the children of our city to know who God is and what He has done for them. It's a beautiful example of God's Kingdom to bring the people of God together in a common mission. Praise be to Him. If you'd like to know more about what happened during City Bible Adventure, make sure you're in worship on Sunday for a special report celebrating God's great work.

It's also been a joy this week to hear from folks who have experienced the sweetness of God's Word. If you weren't here on Sunday, Beth Paz encouraged us to spend time in the Word so that we might experience what the psalmist exclaimed in Psalm 119:103. "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" To help us remember the Word, the ushers handed out honey sticks. So, have you been in the Word this week that you might experience the gift that it is to you? Have you taken time to taste and see that the Lord is good? You won't have the kind of experience of the Word that the psalmist articulates here if you don't spend time reflecting on it. If you don't have a daily habit of that in your life right now, I pray that God will provide a time and place for you to start. And I pray that every one of us will come to know personally and intimately the way God uses the written Word to shape our lives to be like Jesus.
This Sunday we'll examine Psalm 119:121-136. I hope to see you here for worship.

Blessings,

Jeremy
