Dear First Pres,

During the last week of summer, my daughter, Rebekah, decided it was time to rearrange her room.  She planned and schemed, cleaned and purged, and then enlisted the help of her mother to move the furniture and beds. Finally her room was just the way she wanted it.

We've also been doing some rearranging around the church as we prepare for the start of our regular Sunday morning schedule - 8:30 Worship, 9:40 Education Hour, and 11:00 Worship.  Starting this Sunday, our Junior High and High School ministries will be using Room 102 and The Commons as their ministry spaces for Sundays and Wednesdays. This move allows a bit more security for our young people, a higher visibility amongst the congregation, and more accessibility to the rest of the campus. Room 102 has needed some updating, and this move is giving us the reason to do it. So, you  can expect some minor updates (paint, tech, other aesthetics) in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, this move opens up rooms in our Youth Building (the building we share with Hope Now for Youth and Bethany Inner City Church) for other purposes. Both rooms are set up perfectly to be used as adult meeting rooms. They look great; they have great acoustics, good chairs, and good technology. Yes, the building entrance is a few steps down the sidewalk, but once you arrive you'll know that it was worth the extra steps. So, we're going to be using the room on the corner as one of our primary adult education rooms on Sundaymorning. This Sunday, I hope you take the few extra steps down the sidewalk to hear from and connect with a few of our important mission partners: Bob and Paula Yost with Teen Missions.

These, of course, are a few important details for the Education Hour this week, but even more important for Sunday mornings is this: we still need 5 or so people to serve our children. We have needs during the Education Hour and during the 11:00 service. The team has been working hard to find the right folks, but we're not quite there. Have you been asking the Lord how He would have you serve?  Maybe this is it! Please contact Margie Nunez to get more details, 485-6460.

I can't wait to be in the pulpit again on Sunday morning as we move into the final weeks of our God's Twitter sermon series. Remember, it's the regular schedule - 8:30 Worship, 9:40 Education Hour, and 11:00Worship.  I hope to see you then.

Blessings,
