ArtHop

The Commons @ First Presbyterian Church

Thursday, February 4, 2016 - 5:00pm-8:00pm (ended)

Art Hop is a program of the Fresno Arts Council. It happens Downtown Fresno on the 1st Thursday of every month. We are an offical ArtHop Venue, with changing art exhibits in The Commons.

The February 4 Exhbit Features the work of Design Science Early College High School's Art Club & Comic Book Club.

Design Science Early College High School is a very intricate magnet school that focuses on obtaning college classes while completing High School. Although Design Science takes some hard work and dedication, they have many clubs, such as Art Club and Comic Book Club, that allow students to interact and bond over common interest.

"We truly make a family with all of our different talents and ability to get along with one another. As the Art Club, we have fun altogether and enjoy being able to share our work with people who appreciate the time and effort all of our pieces took. The Comic Book Club was founded this year as a way for young comic book artists to meet together, share ideas, and to put those ideas onto paper."

We do this to engage with our community - to intersect with people where they like to hang out. Please consider joining this effort. Just participating in ArtHop downtown could be missional! Be a host/greeter in The Commons or on the sidewalk for either the 5-6:30 or 6:30-8 shift. We are looking for a few good men for the later shift each month.
